In the depths of depression, a party game brings Irene Bullock, an unbridled sociality, into a city dump where she meets abandoned Godfrey, and ends off by hiring her as a practice troupe. He finds the Bullock as the essence of empty and rich foods, such as the proverbial fruit cake. Soon, the dramatized Irene falls in love with her 'maid' ... who feels strongly that a romance between the servant and the employer, regardless of the mysterious past, is in place.
